SMS Messaging Terms & Policy

Last Updated: April 9, 2026

FieldPanel, operated by Clear Kernel LLC, uses SMS text messaging for a single, limited purpose described below. SMS messages are sent only to business owners who have spoken with a FieldPanel sales representative by phone and verbally authorized a follow-up SMS during that call. By providing this verbal consent, you agree to receive SMS messages from FieldPanel as described in this policy.

FieldPanel sends SMS messages from two phone numbers — one toll-free and one local — both operated by FieldPanel and used interchangeably for the same purpose. Replying STOP to either number opts you out from all FieldPanel SMS messages.

1. SMS Use Case — Account Access Link

FieldPanel sends SMS messages for one purpose only: delivering a one-time account sign-in link to a newly-provisioned FieldPanel account.

How it works

A FieldPanel sales representative speaks with a home-service business owner by phone. During the call, the representative initiates the creation of a FieldPanel account for the owner. After the owner verbally consents on the call, the representative triggers the delivery of a single SMS containing a secure sign-in link. The owner taps the link and is automatically signed in to their new FieldPanel account.

FieldPanel does not send marketing or promotional SMS messages. FieldPanel does not send bulk SMS campaigns. FieldPanel does not cold-text business owners — every SMS is tied 1:1 to a live, recorded phone conversation with a consenting recipient.

2. How We Obtain Consent

Because every SMS message sent by FieldPanel is the result of a one-to-one live phone conversation, consent is collected verbally during that call. FieldPanel does not collect SMS consent through any web form on this website. All consent records are available for carrier audit on request.

Consent script

FieldPanel sales representatives are trained to read the following disclosure aloud before any SMS is triggered:

"I'd like to text you a one-time sign-in link for your new FieldPanel account at the mobile number you've given me. This will be a single SMS from FieldPanel containing a link to sign in. Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time to opt out. Do I have your permission to send it now?"

Calls are recorded where applicable. In two-party-consent states (including California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Washington), representatives disclose recording at the start of the call in accordance with state law.

Consent logging

When the business owner verbally agrees, the representative records the consent event in FieldPanel's CRM. Each consent record captures:

These consent records are retained and available for carrier audit on request.

How the message is dispatched

After consent is logged, the representative triggers the send from FieldPanel's sales tooling on the live call. The tooling records the send event and dispatches a single SMS through the Twilio API from FieldPanel's own Twilio account. The representative does not compose the message body by hand — every SMS for this program uses a consistent, reviewed template, ensuring the same disclosure, STOP, HELP, and sign-in URL format on every message. No SMS is sent without a rep-initiated action on a consented, logged event.

One message per consent

A single verbal consent authorizes a single SMS message. If a follow-up is needed later, the representative obtains a new verbal consent in a new phone call.

No transfer, no reuse

Consent is specific to the owner and the purpose described above. Phone numbers collected through this process are not reused for marketing, not added to any other messaging list, and not shared outside FieldPanel except with Twilio as our SMS delivery provider.

3. Message Frequency

You will receive at most one SMS per verbal consent event. Typical recipients receive one SMS total — the sign-in link to their newly-provisioned FieldPanel account. FieldPanel does not send recurring, scheduled, or bulk messages.

4. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. You are responsible for any charges from your mobile carrier.

5. How to Opt Out

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you reply STOP, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent to your number. You may also contact us directly at support@fieldpanel.com to be removed from all future messaging.

6. How to Get Help

Reply HELP to any message you receive for assistance, or contact us at:

7. Your Mobile Information Is Not Shared

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

8. Sample Message

The SMS you receive will look similar to this:

"FieldPanel: As we discussed on our call, here's your sign-in link for your new FieldPanel account: https://app.fieldpanel.com/start/abc123. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Msg & data rates may apply."

The link points to app.fieldpanel.com/start/ — FieldPanel's own application subdomain. Tapping it signs you in to your newly-provisioned FieldPanel account automatically. Each sign-in link is single-use and expires within seven days.
